SAN FRANCISCO,Calif. – The Pinoy dentist from Daly City accused of plotting to traffic guns from the Philippines with suspended California Senator Leland Yee pleaded not guilty Tuesday in federal court.

Dr. Wilson Sy Lim, 60, was among 29 co-defendants implicated in a massive FBI corruption and gun trafficking investigation.

In the FBI’s 137-page criminal complaint Lim is cited as participating in a March dinner meeting where a deal was brokered to purchase and smuggle weapons from a Mindinao-based arms dealer.

Lim’s attorney Jonathan McDougall declined Balitang America’s request to interview Lim.

Meanwhile, Lim is free on $50,000 bail.

He is expected back in court on Friday April 11.
