GLENDALE, AZ — Over 4,000 delegates from 52 countries competed on Saturday at the Gila River arena in Glendale for the World Hip-Hop Championship — the largest international hip-hop competition.

Nine dance groups representing the Philippines participated in this year’s competition. Three Filipino groups made it to the grand finals this year — but only one went home with a medal.

Legit Status from Manila grabbed the bronze medal, out of 59 groups in the mega crew division, while team Japan went home with the gold.

According to organizers of the World Hip Hop international, they will be back in the Grand Canyon state for the next two years.
