LOS ANGELES – It was supposed to be a special trip as Philippine Airlines opened the Los Angeles to Cebu direct flight as part of their 75th anniversary.
The new route which flies three times a week began last Tuesday; however, the second non-stop Cebu flight out of Los Angeles on Thursday completely stopped at LAX.
At around midnight, after boarding and being on the plane for about four hours, passengers had to disembark due to mechanical problems.
The flight was delayed until Saturday morning; however, the Saturday morning flight was delayed again to Saturday night.
Customers say they had problems reaching service representatives.
PAL gave this statement: “Philippine Airlines apologizes to passengers of PR123 (March 17 LAX-CEB) for the inconvenience caused by the delayed departure due to a technical issue, which is currently being addressed. Affected passengers remain billeted in different hotels in Los Angeles.”
In a follow up, PAL said Thursday’s delayed PR123 flight eventually left on Saturday night.
The airline company also granted inconvenienced passengers with Mabuhay miles equivalent to the class of service of their original tickets
PAL always late ever!!! Grrrr!!!
