Last Wednesday, the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California reached the halfway point of its $285 million expansion, marking new opportunities for jobs and recreation in the region.
The resort, situated between the Filipino hubs of Los Angeles and San Diego, features over 200,000 square feet, over 1,000 hotel rooms, and even boasts a designated Filipino host committee.
“This expansion, this hotel and all the amenities that are part of it… the expanded ballroom space, the pool, the spa. It will mean an additional $550 million in economic output, and that is on top of the current $1.1 billion combined economic impact that our casino does have in the region right now.”
By the end of its expansion in December 2017, Pechanga Resort and Casino is expected to add close to 700 additional jobs to the region, and will be the largest casino and resort in the west coast.
