“Pasko sa FilCom” brings Christmas spirit to Hawaii

HONOLULU — Now in its 12th year, ‘Pasko sa FilCom’ brings the spirit of Christmas in the Philippines to Hawaii – through song, dance, Filipino food, and friendly competition.

The annual ‘Pasko sa FilCom,’ or Christmas atFilCom, is held at the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu on Oahu, the biggest Filipino community center outside of the Philippines.

This year’s theme – ‘Salo-Salo sa Pasko’, or ‘Get together at Christmas’ – brings people from all ages and backgrounds to enjoy hula and folk dances, food demonstrations, children’s games and contests like parol-making, karaoke, and a choral competition.
