NEW YORK– The biggest celebration of silliness never gets old.
Nearly 4,000 people participated in the annual No Pants Subway Ride in New York City Sunday.
The collective subway prank created by founder Charlie Todd causes chaos and joy in public places — an opportunity for New Yorkers to misbehave and take their pants off in public places.
What started in 2002 with only seven pants-less friends pranking subway riders is now the largest, most uninhibited worldwide prank taking place in over 60 cities in 25 countries.
The New York No Pants Subway Ride was participated in by pranksters from five to 82 years old from all over the East Coast.
The No Pants Subway Ride turns into one big pant-less dance-off at the Union Square where all the pranksters meet after accomplishing their mission: to putting a big smile on the faces of subway commuters.
