GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Manny Pacquiao only has until this week to wrap up his training at the Wildcard Gym in General Santos City. His schedule includes two sparring sessions but with less rounds so that he won’t be over trained.

“Maintain na lang tayo ngayon,” said Pacman. “Nakafocus na tayo sa laban.”

Trainer Freddie Roach says he’s trying to calm Pacquiao, who is pumped up about his upcoming match against Chris Algieri.

Roach is confident Pacquiao will win the fight.

“My only concern is that he is focused in the fight,” said his longtime trainer. “I’m trying to cool him down. He is in great shape and this is, I guess, the best training camp we have. I guess Algieri must watch out.”

Pacquiao has no problem with his weight at 140 pounds. He needs to add four more pounds to reach the catch weight of 144 pounds.

Team Pacquiao will leave the Philippines on Monday with an airline company setting aside two planes for their all expense-paid trip from Gensan to Manila, then to Macau. The airline also plans to plaster Pacquiao’s face on its planes.
