Pacquiao welcomes underdog tag in fight vs. Mayweather

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The long awaited megafight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a “done deal”.

Mayweather posted a picture of the signed contract on his Shots account last Friday afternoon and Pacquiao confirmed the May 2 fight through an ABS-CBN News interview.

“The fight is on. Let’s get it on. I’m excited. The fans deserve it. So, thank you,” Pacquiao said.

The fight is set to take place at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas where Pacquiao is placed as the underdog against undefeated Mayweather.

In an interview with ABS-CBN’s Dyan Castillejo, the fighting congressman welcomed the underdog tag and vowed to train hard for the fight.

The Pacman revealed it took years before both camps finally reached an agreement, because too many people wanted to get involved in the negotiations.
