LAS VEGAS – Pacquiao vs. Mayweather – the most anticipated and talked about dream match of the century seems to be the most impossible mega-fight, as both camps won’t agree to each other’s terms.

Six years after talks for the mega-fight began, the minds of both boxing greats are concentrating on their current respective matches this Fall: Mayweather vs. Maidana in September and Pacquiao vs. Algieri in November.

Therefore, a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather bout continues to look impossible.

During Pacquiao’s recent visit to Las Vegas, the fighting congressman exclusively said to Balitang America that he is up to any challenge of Mayweather.

When asked about specific dates, the Pacman said, “I think hindi para sa akin ang tanong na yan. Para sa kanya siguro.”

In a recent statement by Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, he says the Mayweather fight might happen in 2015, but Mayweather Sr. says that this is far from happening.

“Bob Arum doesn’t know what the hell he is talking about,” said Mayweather Sr. “Floyd controls the shit, not Bob. Floyd is the person who’s controlling it. If Floyd don’t want to fight Pacquiao, he don’t have to. Floyd is the highest paid fighter around here – so he don’t have to do it.”

Mayweather Sr. adds that he is certain that his son will defeat the Filipino boxing super star.

“I’m just saying, Floyd will whip his ass anyway. You see he ain’t knocked out anybody in the last five fights.”

Mayweather Sr. adds that the Pacman’s inability to knock out an opponent in recent fights because of religion is no excuse.

“He don’t want to knock nobody out?” he asked. “That’s bullshit. Floyd is religious too, but Floyd is going to knock his ass out, believe me.”

According to, Floyd Mayweather Jr. says that the fight could happen if Manny Pacquiao signs with Mayweather Promotions.

Meanwhile, while both fighters are gearing up for their respective fights this year, the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather dream match continues to be a dream the world wants to see.
