Pacquiao confirms retirement plans in 2016

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Manny Pacquiao’s fighting days are officially numbered, according to the fighting congressman.

In a “Tapatan Ni Tunying” interview with Anthony Taberna, Pacquiao confirmed his plan to officially retire from boxing in 2016 to possibly run for a senate seat in the national elections.

That leaves the Pacman with an expected four more fights before bowing out of the boxing ring.

He’s already set to defend his WBO welterweight title against American Chris Mark Algieri in November.

The 35-year-old Sarangani politician said come 2016 he’ll run for senator under the United Nationalist Alliance Party.
