Pacquiao and former coach, Freddie Roach, reunite before upcoming match

BEVERLY HILLS — After two years of fighting overseas, the Pacman is back in a familiar place, squeezing in a routine Los Angeles morning jog as he prepares to face Adrien Broner.

Coach Freddie Roach will return to Team Pacquiao. The two met face to face late Tuesday night to discuss Roach’s new role as consultant.

It was the first time they spoke since the controversial 2017 loss to Jeff Horn.

While the familiar Coach Freddie will be back in his corner, the business partnership with the Top Rank will be completely gone for this fight.

Pacquiao’s last fight, a knockout win over Lucas Matthysse, was streamed by Top Rank and ESPN, but the January 19th fight will be carried on Showtime pay-per-view, with tickets going on sale this weekend.

Pacman will head back to the Philippines on Wednesday night, where he’ll continue his Senate work, celebrate his birthday, and head back to the U.S. before the end of the month
