HONOLULU, HI — Art auctions, live paintings, a special film screening and a concert — this was the One Peace Festival in Honolulu.
The event was presented by Mama Earth, an organization that began over a decade ago with the goal of using music, art and nature to make a difference in the world.
“We can all do something, we just have to come together and that’s what Pride for the Philippines is. It’s like using our pride, our love, our unity to make a change because it really is crucial right now. We’re like two degrees away from a big change in the world that will be…I don’t know what’s going to happen if we don’t do it,” said founder Jamie Kailani.
Pride for Philippines and Mama Earth joined together to create One Peace Festival in hopes of raising funds to help better the environment in the Philippines. All of the funds will go towards cleaning and preserving the Manila Bay as well as the organizations’ community programs.
