LAS VEGAS — CES has become the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies it has served as the proving ground for innovator and electronics industries in the Philippines.
This is why the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, the largest organization of foreign and Filipino electronics companies in the Philippines, presented the Philippine electronic capabilities at CES 2020.
Department of Science and Technology undersecretary Dr. Rowena Cristina Guevara adds that Philippine invention and start the recent start-up and innovation act budget for Filipino inventions, there is no doubt that Philippines will be a key player in the next CES trade show.
DTI highlighted their part in strengthening existing prospective opportunities from trading arrangements with the generalized system of preference with the United States.
Trade deals like the GSP are part of DTI’s comprehensive support to strengthen industries and create more jobs and employment opportunities for Filipinos.
