REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – President Barack Obama’s new mission in this so-called year of action is to help women get equal pay in this country.
The White House is launching a campaign that would identify economic issues facing women in America, particularly on gender income gap.
Government data show that full-time working women still earn 77 cents for every dollar earned by men in the workplace even if more women have college degrees.
The White House hosted at least 10 democratic female lawmakers Tuesday who will serve as the president’s council of economic advisers.
