REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – President Barrack Obama’s trip to Asia is a reminder that the United States has more than 80,000 troops deployed across the Asia-Pacific, and he plans to make a point of honoring U.S. servicemen and women, and their families, in the region.

His stop in the Philippines on April 28 and 29 may cover various issues like giving U.S. forces their broadest access to Filipino bases in more than 20 years, without involving the permanent stationing of U.S. troops there.

Meanwhile, the man often called “Consoler-in-Chief”, for his unique ability to articulate both his nation’s grief and his administration’s sympathy, may also tackle the United States’ role in helping the Philippines in times of catastrophe.

In the Philippines, U.S. troops, aid agencies, and civil society groups have been actively assisting Typhoon Yolanda survivors.

The Philippine government says President Benigno Aquino III will discuss continuing support for the victims.

From 2011 to 2013, the United States has reportedly given the Philippines over a billion dollars in aid.

Obama one more thing before you open your big mouth with Aquino about continuing support for the victims Yolanda from 2011 – 2013 that America gave the Philippines about a Billion Dollars of our money that could have been given to the poor victims in America the Homeless and the people without jobs. Ask Aquino about the Pork Barrel Money that his people in office stole from the poor, that could have help the victims of Yolanda?

JRB, this is deeper than you can imagine. This is politics. Why do you think the US wants to position herself in the southeast pacific? Is it about oil/ natural gas in the Philippine reef that China is after or is it about something else. America makes moves that are always beneficial for them, it may not be now but in the future. That’s how the US government work. Obama is just a pawn for big corporations.
