REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – President Barack Obama is assuring people in America today that he has not forgotten about addressing the economy.

In the last few weeks, President Obama has been consumed with crises abroad, and wants to remind voters that he has not forgotten about their financial troubles.

In his speech at the Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, the President says the country’s economy has made steady progress.

President Obama defended his policies – that he says the GOP failed to support – which included bailing out the auto industry to his health care law.

He says while he is not on the ballot in November, his economic policies are.
