NYPD releases sketch of suspect in Filipino killing

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The New York Police Department has released a sketch of a man wanted for questioning in the death of 56-year-old Filipino Robert Martires last month.

The police are asking the public to help find the whereabouts of a man described as Hispanic, 30 years old and about 5 feet 7 inches tall.

Martires died after being struck in the face on Roosevelt Avenue – a Filipino neighborhood in Queens – on June 21.

The man wanted for questioning was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and a dark-colored baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or text their tips to 274-637-CRIMES then enter tip 577.
