REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The US lawyers of Philippine superstar Nora Aunor have released a statement following Malacanang’s announcement that she was denied a National Artist Award because of a drug conviction.

The law firm Edelberg and Espina, says that the drug conviction claim against Aunor is patently false.

The statement says that nine years ago Aunor was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance but says she was not convicted for it.

The statement says Aunor underwent and passed more than 40 random drug tests, and at no time were drugs ever detected in her system.

They stress that Aunor was never required to perform community service, never spent time in jail, nor was she incarcerated for any offense.

Hey people look you was found with controlled substance in your carry-on luggage in your name at the LOS Angeles international airport 9 years ago? In America if you got a lot of contraband in your carry-on you broke the law of America. The Drug conviction is not “PATENTLY FALSE.” So please shut your mouth because you broke the law of America your not in the Philippines?
