LAS VEGAS — After months of intense training, and weeks of sparring sessions at this local Vegas gym, there is no stopping Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire from going after another world title.
“Merun pakong isang week, right now I’m very very confident, we have great game plans we have great sparring partners and most of all my stamina is limitless. I feel really good.”
The Filipino flash will square off with Ireland’s boxing champ Carl Frampton on April 21 at the SSE arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland: Frampton’s home, and home to many overseas Filipino workers.
The upcoming fight he said is a fruition that all started in an exchange of messages on social media a few months back, but now the whole world awaits for the Donaire Frampton showdown.
Nonito says that he is expecting an explosive fight against the younger Frampton, who also wants to post a convincing win.
The WBO interim featherweight belt is at stake in the 12 round match between Nonito Donaire Jr. and Ireland’s Carl Frampton on April 21st. Donaire is asking his Pinoy fans from all over the world to support this bout.
