New York’s immigrant equality agenda for 2015

NEW YORK CITY – Immigrant advocates have a new agenda in New York – to push for a blueprint on how to better serve the needs of the state’s diverse and growing immigrant population.

The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC), together with community leaders, revealed their 2015 Immigrant Equality Agenda at the steps of New York City Hall on Monday.

They are urging Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the state legislature to bring this immigration agenda front and center of state initiatives in 2015

Topping their agenda is to pass the New York State Dream Legislation; support the educational and health needs of border children refugees who fled violence in Central America; and ensure that hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers are able to apply for President Barack Obama’s administrative immigration relief.

Minkwon Center for Community Action’s Executive Director Grace Shim said, “It is estimated that over 250,000 New Yorkers will be eligible for the President’s deferred action program, and if they all take advantage of this program the New York’s Tax revenue would increase by a $184 million.”

Democratic State Senator Liz Krueger said, “We should be doing everything we can to support them because when they do good, we all do well.”

Also included in their agenda list: Healthcare access for all, legal representations for detained immigrants, and driver’s licenses for all — regardless of immigration status.

Advocates say these immigration reliefs would only benefit part of the undocumented immigrant population and it’s up to the federal government to further extend that help.

New York Immigration Coalition Executive Director Steven Choi said, “It will take a recognition by Congress, by the House, and the Senate that immigration reform is necessary for the entire country and for our future, and they need to come to that realization.”

Gabriela’s Chris Hilo said, “This is a chance for us to actually continue to fight for all undocumented because there’s a huge population that is not being talked about — especially in the Filipino community.”

Although President Obama took important steps to fix the country’s broken immigration system through executive orders, these New York leaders believe the only solution is the passage of fair and comprehensive immigration reform in 2015.

the wannabe self empowering group of illegal aliens demanding the welfare dream act should make americans nauseated, and sick. why in the world american taxpayers have to spend their hard earned dollars to educate illegal aliens?. the people must not allow this demand to materialize, for one thing this demand is a true spits to america’s sovereignty and to americans itself who should only be given the monetarily welfare, and never ever be given even a penny to illegal aliens.

these recent illegal alien border crossers, adults and minors must be deported back to where they all came from with their hogwash reasonings of entering america illegally, they all deserved to be sent back to their own countries. obozo created this disastrous influx of border crossers like wildfire with his executive order DACA. obozo is a danger to this nation, yet this up to no good POTUS is still standing tall with his two feet, acting he is the savior of the illegal aliens by continuing in spreading his lies of destructions, so he can keep these bad illegal aliens who do not follow the rule of laws by ignoring, not showing up in the court, so the judges can all sent these illegal aliens back to where they all came from, yet no law enforcers are looking for these awol illegal aliens, which obozo prefers, thus these illegal aliens can likely be the future menace to the society like their biggest supporter obozo.

What a bunch of crap, first they broke the law , entered in the country without permission . They set their foot in by force , a criminal behavior . There after , they start demanding . In what position do they have authority to demand ? The only thing they are allowed to have is jail time or self deport .

Illegals do not deserve any kind of permits to stay in this country, hearings, amnesty or path to citizenship or legalization. Time to get serious from top to bottom on illegals. Deport within 5 days. Secure & maintain a DNA file or an RFID so they can never enter the country again.

No government benefits or services (i.e., school, health care, housing, food, clothing, drivers license, etc) for illegals. Continue to purge/deport them as we find them. Any illegal serving time in an American jail/prison will serve it at hard labor on a chain-gang. Once their sentence is completed DEPORT immediately.

My guess is if we do any or all of the above, many of these maggots will self-deport. They need to find the trail that leads back to their Own Country .
