New York celebrates Philippine Independence Day

NEW YORK — The annual Philippine Independence Day celebration in New York City was held 10 days early, on June 2nd. Along Madison Avenue, there was no shortage of Pinoy pride, costume colors and fun.

Sam, Kim and Bella each performed during a special fashion show featuring two top Filipino designers. Albert Andrada showed off his Alembong collection, while Cherry Vic captured the audience with his gravitas pieces.

The trio also got a chance to strut the runway.

Whether outfitted with designer collections or parading with traditional costumes, Filipinos young and old once again made this Philippine Independence Day celebration, the biggest one outside the philippines.
