New Jersey production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” includes Filipino cast and crew

RED BANK, NJ — The Hunchback of Notre Dame debuted on the US stage in 2014, but this musical, based on Victor Hugo’s 1831 novel of the same name, never made it to Broadway.

Fil-Am cast member Jared Babuschak – playing the lead role of Quasimodo — believes this production could be the one to make it on the Great White Way.

Regional theaters like the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank have always been a place where new musicals come to life and cross over to Broadway. With the Filipinos love for music, this production is home to a number of Fil-Ams, from onstage talents to offstage production crews.
