NEW JERSEY — The sole survivor of a July car crash that killed an entire Fil-Am family, except for the mother, has left the hospital for a rehabilitation center in her home state of New Jersey.
On July 6th, 5 members of the Trinidad family — father Audie and his daughters Kaitlyn, Danna, and twins Melissa and Allison, were killed by a wrong-way driver in Delaware.
Only the children’s mother, Mary Rose Ballocanag, survived the accident.
While Ballocanag is still bedridden, her family says they hope to have her in a wheelchair after a week of therapy, and then have the funeral ceremony for her husband and daughters.
No charges have been filed yet against 44-year-old Alvin S. Hubbard, the driver of the pickup truck that crossed the median and crashed into the Trinidad family’s vehicle.
