NBA Legends Dwayne Wade and Dirk Nowitzki retire, Magic Johnson resigns from Lakers

Before the NBA season began, Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat already announced that this will be his last season, and he called it “one last dance.”

In his final regular season home game in Miami on Tuesday night, it was full of surprises for Wade.

The Heat presented a special video tribute as they looked back at his historic 16-year career.

A significant part of that video was his Filipino American head coach, Erik Spoelstra.

In his final chapter, in front of his hometown fans, Wade played a magnificent game and gave them 30 points in a big win against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Meanwhile in Dallas, a surprise announcement as well on Tuesday from their future hall of famer Dirk Nowitzki, when he told his hometown fans that this would be his final season and that it would be his final home game for the Mavericks.

But it was Nowitzki who was surprised by the Dallas management by bringing in fellow NBA legends.

Nowitzki fought back the tears as he thanked the Dallas fans.

And in Los Angeles, Laker fans are disheartened that they will not be able to get back to the playoffs.

It was a surprise too that NBA legend Magic Johnson announced his resignation as president of basketball operations for the Lakers.

Rumors are also hot that the Lakers will soon fire coach Luke Walton.

On Wednesday, the NBA ends its regular season — and the match-ups will be set for this weekend they begin the 2019 NBA Playoffs.
