A former NBA champion is making his basketball comeback — but with a Philippine professional team.
Lamar Odom announced on Instagram that he will be joining team Mighty Sports Philippines in the Dubai International Basketball championship in February 2019.
Odom noted that he originally had planned to come back to pro-ball earlier this year by playing in the Chinese basketball league, but he felt he was not ready just yet.
Odom calls this stint with Mighty Sports a great warm-up for his jump to the professional 3-on-3 league, The Big 3.
The 39-year-old forward — who has played for the LA Clippers, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Dallas Mavericks — has been out of the NBA since 2013.
