LOS ANGELES — The National Federation of Filipino American Associations, or NaFFAA, held a special forum featuring some of the Southland’s few elected Pinoy officials.
It was a gathering of Pinoy power as NaFFAA held its Southern California civic leadership forum, bringing in Filipino American elected officials.
This all-star line up hopes to shed light and inspire the next generation of future leaders.
As the nonpartisan NaFFAA looks at ways to produce future leaders by building support systems, raising funds, and also being an advocate for issues affecting the Filipino American community, the victories of Congressman-elect TJ Cox, and incumbent Bobby Scott, give them more inspiration.
The forum, which features, current, newly elected, and outgoing city council members as well as a performance by the Filharmonics — sparked some of the youth in attendance.
NaFFAA leadership will return to Carson early next year for a major summit.
