Mother who survived New Jersey crash that killed husband and daughters is in recovery
NEW JERSEY — The lone survivor of a deadly car crash that killed 5 members of a Filipino family is now transitioning out of the hospital and into a rehabilitative facility.
On July 6th, 61-year-old father Audie Trinidad and his daughters Kaitlyn, 20, Danna, 17, and 13-year-old twins Melissa and Allison, were all pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
According to a GoFundMe campaign that has so far raised over $270,000, the wife and mother — 53-year-old Mary Rose Ballocanag — has recovered with much improvement, and will continue treatment in a facility in New Jersey. She was previously hospitalized outside of her homestate.
So far, no charges have been filed against 44-year-old Alvin S. Hubbard, the driver of the pickup truck that crossed the median and crashed into the Trinidad family’s vehicle.
