Most Americans support ISIS airstrikes, according the poll

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – A new CNN/ORC International poll shows that Americans support U.S. led airstrikes, but oppose sending troops on the ground.

A majority, 73 percent of those surveyed, favor the military air strike, while 24 percent are opposed.

60 percent are against sending troops into combat operations against ISIS, but most feel it is likely that the U.S. will eventually call-in ground troops.

Of those polled, 19 percent are very confident the U.S. effort to destroy the terror group will succeed, while 42 percent are somewhat confident.
