LAS VEGAS, NV — After a 14-hour long flight from the Philippines to Los Angeles, and then to Las Vegas, Miss Philippines Rachel Peters still looks stunning as she walked through the baggage claim area of the McCarran International Airport.
“I’m as read as ever be. I’ve worked extremely hard in the lead up to getting here, like finally being part of the Miss Universe. I’m excited to take things day by day, enjoy myself and hopefully bring home the crown,” said Rachel Peters, Miss Philippines.
Peters adds that these luggages contains her outfits and costumes for the rest of the pageant week.
Miss Venezuela, Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Dominican Republic all had a late Saturday night connecting flights. The 4 beauties arrived at the same time.
Peters knows that the competition will be fierce, but she is confident she’ll win because of the support of Filipinos at home and those in the US.
“Without a doubt, my greatest strength is the Filpino people I have behind me, constantly supporting me motivating me and inspiring me to always be better and better,” she said.
With the Philippine flag in tow, some Pinoy fans patiently waited for Miss Philippines.
Miss Philippines will be staying in Vegas for 2 weeks for some fun-filled activities lined up by the Miss Universe organization.
