REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – History making Pinoy Olympian Michael Martinez is back on the ice and has advanced in a Shanghai competition.
Martinez returned to competition at the International Skating Union World Championships on Friday.
Despite an early fall in the short program, Martinez managed a score of 67.03.
His short program score was good enough for 22nd place and a spot in Saturday’s free skate.
The top 24 out of 30 competitors advance to the free skate.
