BERKELEY, CA — Filipina-Australian Jess Connelly is a rising star in the world of R&B.
Her debut mixtape “JCON” — which dropped this past August — has already generated millions of streams.
With a loyal following already established in the Philippines on Pinoy Big Brother, the 26-year-old singer/songwriter looks to make her mark in the US.
“I hope people can relate to my music. I hope you can feel good from my music. I hope you can create good memories with my music.”
Connelly says her sound is inspired by the different places she goes; however, she adds that she really likes the bay area, especially with her fellow kababayan, Bay Area native Fil-Am rapper P-Lo.
Connelly recently wrapped up traveling across the US with another Bay Area talent, DJ Noodles — as part of Noodles’ “Sayonara” tour.
