Mayweather sports a Philippines-inspired shirt to media event

LAS VEGAS – Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s Las Vegas gym was packed with media crews from around the world on Tuesday, all wanting a glimpse at the undefeated world champion ahead of his May 2 fight against Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather showed that his lip and hands are in good condition to shoot down reports that he suffered a busted lip and hurt hands during training.

He showed a little bit of his workout in the ring and down on the floor, demonstrating his speedwork and core strengthening.

The American boxer also circled the ring wearing a t-shirt with his TMT logo, but using the colors of the Philippine flag.

“I’m not trying to send any message,” the fighter said. “I’m always wearing every country. It’s always the U.S. first. But I love the Philippines, I love Japan, I love Africa, I love all countries.”
