Massive beef recall includes cuts of meat popular in Pinoy cooking

A massive meat recall out of California involves nearly nine million pounds of beef products, including many popular cuts in Filipino cooking.

Federal officials are recalling beef from Petaluma-based Rancho Feeding Corporation.

They say the meat came from diseased animals that were not properly inspected.

Included in the recall are cuts of beef that are frequently used in Filipino cooking like ox tail, lengua, tripe, and liver.
