LOS ANGELES — Manny Pacquiao’s next fight is a little more than a month away, an early start to his US training camp.
The champ is back, Manny Pacquiao, touched down in Los Angeles Saturday night, greeted by a crowd of his supporters.
After a Sunday church service in where he met baseball legend Darryl Strawberry, he was back on the grind early Monday morning, pounding the pavement for his roadwork.
Originally expected to arrive in early January, the team decided to come to Los Angeles more than a month ahead of Pacquiao’s, world title clash against undefeated American Keith Thurman scheduled for July 20th.
Fernandez says that the team is excited to be back in Los Angeles and the Pacman was already looking good in his manila training sessions with Fernandez saying his condition is at about 80 percent.
“We spar already 8 rounds Kasi before we leave the Philippines we spark already 8 rounds so it’s a good news and I see already the motivation and determination of the senator for this fight.”
The fighting Senator will be heading to the Wild Card Gym on Monday afternoon to reunite with hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach.
