Mama Fina’s in NYC creates buzz offering what locals call the best sisig in town

NEW YORK — The late celebrity chef and author Anthony Bourdain called it in 2014 that sisig– a Filipino favorite beer food, or pulutan — would get mainstream recognition.

Today, New Yorkers and those visiting the Big Apple can easily order sizzling sisig, served on a hot cast-iron skillet with ice-cold beer at Mama Fina’s, home of Filipino sisig in Alphabet City.

And food critics are taking notice of this winning combination.
