REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Malacanang has fired back at one of the biggest newspapers in America.

After the New York Times carried an editorial accusing President Benigno Aquino III of political mischief, for considering a charter change to extend his term in office, Malacanang has responded saying the staff behind the editorial did not have a full grasp of what they wrote about.

Malacanang says President Aquino always makes decisions with public interest in mind.

The article called on President Aquino to stop butting heads with the courts and to step down at the end of his presidential term.
