REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – A major storm hammered the San Francisco Bay Area Thursday, home to more than 460,000 Filipinos.
Heavy rains and strong winds, started Wednesday night in some areas, with the North Bay receiving the brunt of the storm, taking in more than four inches of rain.
Some areas around Daly City and San Bruno, where there are concentrations of Filipinos, were flooded.
Slippery roads and accident caused major inconveniences for people who had to commute in the Bay Area during the storm
As Thursday morning, more than 200 flights had been canceled at San Francisco International Airport.
The wicked Bay Area weather is expected to ease up by the evening. But more rains are expected on Friday.
