“Love For The People” inspires multi-medium cultural art, action, and political change

LOS ANGELES, CA — Art, food, business and activism all stand together here at “Love For The People — a movement that holds these multi-medium, multi-ethnic nights.

Love for the People was started by members of KmB Pro-People Youth a dozen years ago, after members traveled to and worked with community groups in the Philippines.

“We believe that art is a political weapon, that art inspires action, and action brings about change — so that’s why you see here at Love for the People,” said KmB chair Eddy Gana Jr. “We have visual artists, we have music; it’s about the art that you really get to find your identity, you find your culture.”

These peaceful, artistic nights of solidarity are even more important, during times of political turmoil.
