REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The sheriff of St. Landry parish in Louisiana has concluded that 36-year-old Filipina Indra Marie Jones and her husband, 48-year-old Avery Jones, did die in a murder suicide.
Lt. Clay Higgins said prior to Tuesday’s double shooting, the officers were called to the Joneses home multiple times last year because of fights and arguments.
Police said there was a heated argument between Indra Marie and her husband before her husband shot her and then turned the gun on himself.
The Cebu native, who was a college student and also worked at a gas station, had no children with her husband.
A gofundme.com account has been set up by Indra Marie’s friends to send her remains to the Philippines.
So far, more than $3,000 has been raised of their goal of $10,000.
