Loida Nicolas Lewis breaks silence on Duterte accusations

NEW YORK — After weeks of keeping silent on accusations that she been plotting to oust the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, New York City Fil-Am community leader Loida Nicolas-Lewis has broken her silence.

“No, President Duterte, I have not plotted against you in terms of coup d’état, because I believe in the democratic process,” she told ABS-CBN.

Nicolas-Lewis says she has given Duterte a chance to prove himself as duly elected President of the Philippines, for the last 5 months.

“I was impressed at his sincerity, then I thought he was sincere, that what keeps people poor in the Philippines is drugs, corruption and injustice – and now what do I see? He’s killing and killing and killing,” said Nicolas-Lewis. “I would say he is a murderer in that sense.”

Last February 19, then presidential candidate Duterte made a big campaign promise to the Filipino people saying,”If elected President, give me about 3 to 6 months – I will get rid of corruption, itong droga pati criminality.”

He also gave the Philippine police instructions on how to get rid of criminals.

“Ang utos ko patayin, bakit? Well, if you are committing a crime in my presence, sabihin ko sa pulis, wala nang surrender-surrender, pagka sa loob ng bahay, sugurin niyo yung bahay at pag hindi nakahawak ng baril, bigyan mo ng panahon mag-hawak ng baril at todasin mo– ako ang bahala, ako nang mananagot.”

To date, there are more than 2,500 drug-related deaths in the Philippines, according to ABS-CBN Investigative and Research Group.

Nearly 1,500 were killed during police operations, and the rest were killed by unidentified assailants.

So his promise: ‘I will resign in 6 months if the drug epidemic is not solved,’ he should be true to that promise, at least, no extension, resign now President Duterte!” said the Fil-Am businesswoman and widow.

Nicolas Lewis announced that she has now joined the widespread call for Duterte’s resignation, after Vice President Leni Robredo was allegedly eased out of the President’s cabinet, as well as his other chilling rhetoric against anti-Duterte activists.

“His statement: ‘You who are activists who are criticizing me about extra-judicial killings, baka kayo susunod’… it’s the playbook for Martial Law, please galing na tayo duon, 21 years under the mask of Marcos Family. Don’t do that to us again,” said Nicolas-Lewis.

Robredo announced her resignation as chair of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) in the President’s cabinet due to “major differences,” according to ABS-CBN News, after Duterte ordered her to stop attending meetings. But she vowed to protect her position, and not allow the Vice Presidency to be ‘stolen’ from her.

The 16 Million who voted for Duterte did not vote for Bong-Bong Marcos so be careful,” Nicolas-Lewis said. “We should ask for the resignation of President Duterte now, and not wait until Bong-Bong Marcos succeeds in his nefarious plan to unseat Vice President Leni Rodredo.”

Nicolas-Lewis also accused the current President of “joking” that if Marcos wins his electoral protest, the Philippines would have a new Vice President.

President Duterte wants Bong-Bong Marcos to be your President,” she warned. “Matakot kayo, matakot kayo. Katapos na mag-nakaw, magigi silang ruling body again– resign now, let Vice President Leni become President and she will do it for you, without killing anybody.”

President Duterte has less than a month to fulfill his campaign promise of getting rid the Philippines of crime, corruption and drug problems.

He has already asked for another six-month extension, but his critics say no more.

After all, some news are coming out that Tita Loida is plotting to oust Tito Digong as president? Given the propensity of U.P. alumni as radical-activist to rebel against the Philippine government, it is no surprise. With the help Lagman…a fellow alumni…

Bilibid Prisoners drug lords testified during the Congressional investigation on Sen DeLima regarding drug trade in the PH and said that; Drugs is ONE BILLION PESOS a DAY business. Their justification is 4 Million Addicts and each spend an averages of 6000 Pesos a day. I don’t blame Duterte for investigating former DOJ DeLima, Duterte tried to squeezed her to tell the truth on how much her Boss(the Godfather) collected from drug money for 8 years. In my opinion, Godfather and his relatives collected closed to Trillion Pesos income in 8 years, no wonder DU30 is in deep trouble, they can buy the media and the Fil-Am activist in Amerika.. Those pork barrel income are only drop in the pocket, they were silent on the Drug trade.

According to Doctor Gener-Med Acob (U.P. alumni) the sad part of Tita Loida Nicolas Lewis is that she is always been U.P. analist-activist. Most of the these liberal minded media outlets are always seeking her .10-cents commentary. The blind-sided (one eye vision) one Tita Loida is that she is criticizing President Duterte for the deaths of drug ridden Filipinos. This is usual mindset of half-truth minded “human rights” analists that they forgot that Filipino law enforcers including the AFP are dying because of the drug epidemic in the Philippines. Acob added, what has Tita Loida done, other that whining, bitching, crying, moaning, etc. in regard to the drug problem. Maybe benefited from De Lima, perhaps Peenoy?

Another liberal analist is Edcel Lagman, hailed as Albay graft and plunder representative…a fellow U.P. alumni who shares the same rhetoric with Tita Loida on human rights? Do we suppose to just believe every Filipinos on drugs for the longest time on their claim on human rights abuses?
