West Hollywood was beaming with even more LGBTQ pride than usual — so much pride, that it was put on lockdown Saturday night, after the open air annual street party was over capacity.
Thousands, including ticket holders, were turned away from the party.
On Sunday at the annual parade, thousands more hit the streets for the annual Los Angeles Pride parade.
While some would describe the pride festival and parade as lit and on fire, the LGBTQ movement is still tackling some burning issues.
From the president’s attempted ban on transgender members serving in the military, to health care repeal attempts that would strip medical services for the LGBTQ community, Filipinos continue to pridefully resist.
From celebrities to politicians and big corporations, throughout the weekend, members of the LGBT community came together to share a rainbow of messages.
