Late-term abortion bill sparks controversial national debate

It was from this exchange at the Virginia House of Delegates on Monday when a state’s abortion bill turned into a national debate.

Democratic delegate Kathy Tran introduced a new bill which would legalize abortion up to the point of birth.

Two days later, not only has the exchange gone viral, it drew criticisms and comments including from President Donald Trump, after Virginia Governor Ralph Northam defended the proposed bill.

The governor pointed out that this is precisely the reason why those decisions should be left to the woman and her doctor, and not done by politicians.

This controversy comes just days after New York state passed a law to protect women’s access to abortion if the historic Roe v Wade case is overturned.

Governor Northam issued a statement explaining his comments but stands by defending the rights of women.

Kristine Torres Caalim, a political consultant who is familiar with the legislative process said that Virginia is far from following New York’s effort.

Meanwhile, criticisms and comments continue to pour in from both sides of this controversial issue.

Killing babies up to 9 months ??….What wrong with you Democrats.?? This is how they do abortion. The abortionist will insert his/her arm inside the stomach of the mother. The abortionist will look for the Head of the baby/fetus. Then he will hold the head , then twist his hand to choke and kill the baby..He will do it (twisting of the hand)two to three times, make it sure the baby dies inside the womb. If the baby comes out alive… the baby will shout and talk said…. MOMMY. I WANT TO LIVE, CAN YOU GIVE ME CHANCE..the abortionist will choke again the baby and said.. No way, Planned Parenhood had just found a buyer for you body parts….
