By Balitang America Staff, ABS-CBN North America

A Fil-Am Jonathan Perez, 22, faces charges of first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by an ex-felon, and discharge of a gun within a structure or vehicle.

Las Vegas metro police say that the incident took place on April 21 near an intersection. Multiple shots were reportedly fired.

Police found a man identified as Jason Puckett on the ground of a parking lot. Puckett was later pronounced dead at the University Medical Center.

Perez had a prior conviction in May of 2011 of attempted murder and carrying a concealed weapon.

Authorities believe the victim was involved in a narcotics exchange with three other men, including Perez, when shots were fired.

Two other men fled the scene.

Perez is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 30.

What in the hell this kid Perez is carrying a gun? when in May 2011 Perez has a prior conviction of attempted murder and carrying a concealed weapon. He is a animal on the street, he will be lock-up for a very long time if he was the one that killed that man.
