Lakers’ Jordan Clarkson plays Santa Claus for the holidays, taking kids on a Nike shopping spree
Christmas has become a big day for the NBA, and while the Los Angeles Lakers fell short against the Minnesota Timberwolves, their Fil-Am star guard was one of the few bright spots.
Jordan Clarkson scored 17 points to go with 7 assists 6 rebounds and four steals. He also had a strong 18 point outing in a loss against the Portland Trailblazers on Saturday.
Despite three game in four days, JC was in the holiday spirit.
Clarkson spent Christmas Eve playing Santa Claus for some underprivileged youth at the Nike Store in Los Angeles, taking them on a pre-dawn shopping spree.
While he continues to be an all-star in the community, Clarkson called for the community to help him become NBA All-Star.
The NBA All-Star voting opened, and the Laker’s sixth man released his campaign video on Friday.
Clarkson finished sixth in all-star fan voting last season.
“Let’s get involved in the voting process and make history. Please vote for me for the 2018 NBA All-Star game. On the NBA app or NBA.com.”
Votes can be cast on NBA.com, the NBA app and on twitter with the hashtag #NBAVote.
This year’s all star game and festivities takes place in Clarkson home court of LA’s Staples Center in February.
