LOS ANGELES, Calif.-As senators are expected to introduce an immigration legislation soon, immigrant rights advocates have been on an all-out push for an immigration overhaul that addresses their needs.

The Coalition for Humane Immigration Reform Los Angeles (CHIRLA) joined statewide protests at all of Senator Dianne Feinstein’s offices Thursday morning, demanding the senator to ensure that family reunification is not eliminated as a fair pathway to citizenship for the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants.

“We’re asking Senator Feinstein to be our champion to be with our families and to protect our family visa system. California is the largest state in the country that will be affected by immigration reform. We have the largest amount of families, mixed-status families, undocumented families,” said Ray Barrera of CHIRLA.

“Asians are now the largest group of new immigrants coming into this country. We face some of the longest
waiting periods for legal immigration, up to 24 years for some trying to move here from the Philippines and even though Asians make up 6% of the US population we make up over 40% of family immigration backlogs,” explained the democratic congresswoman.

Next week the Latino and Asian American groups will join forces as they rally outside senator Feinstein’s office again. By then they hope the senator expresses her support for family reunification and a form of amnesty.

so, what about those who applied the legal way waiting for decades to be granted the privileges of permanent residency visas. these applicants doing the legal ways must be given priorities to get the visas, than these illegal aliens knowingly doing illegal ways and activities. only corrupted/crook politicians, looking the other way, ignoring the rule of laws, headed by obama and the like of feinstein, etc regard the most important are votes of the hispanics for their political careers, as well as to capture the permanent supports of latinos as lifetime democrat voters.

law abiding people are too sick, disgusted to the idea of path to citizenship, these illegal aliens are demanding. those visa applicants all over the world waiting for decades only wishes and desires are to be granted the permanent resident visas, without premature demand of citizenships. yes, those doing the legal way applicants have hard times of waiting for many years, so why should it be easy for these illegal aliens demanding magic wands of path of citizenships from obama/feinstein/etc. american society have been corrupted by these politician lawmakers, they voted in power.
