Basketball phenomenon Kobe Paras is coming home.
The 20-year-old son of PBA legend Benjie Paras will follow his father’s footsteps in attending the University of the Philippines, joining the Fighting Maroons.
The Gilas Cadet members says that basketball was not the only reason for his choice, but also the chance to earn a degree in the country’s top university.
Paras was originally recruited by UCLA before transferring to Creighton University where he played sparingly.
Last year, Paras transferred to Cal State Northridge, but despite being part of the team he was unable to play due to NCAA rules.
Paras will be eligible to play for UP after a one year residency period.
