ASAP kapamilya stars perform, meet fans in Hawaii
HONOLULU — Hawaii fans wished for their favorite kapamilya stars to come to the islands, and it happened right before their eyes.
Kababayans flocked to the Waikiki Beach Marriott to catch a glimpse of some of the cast members of ASAP, the longest-running musical variety show in the Philippines, shown on ABS-CBN.
The kapamilya stars appeared before members of the media and the community Thursday night — answering questions — from their feelings about being in a tropical paradise, to empathizing with Hawaii residents affected by Kilauea’s volcanic eruption.
More than 30 ASAP cast members are set to perform at the Neal Blaisdell Arena this Saturday — ready to entertain with impressive song and dance numbers.
ASAP Hawaii is the 7th time The Filipino Channel is mounting the show abroad. For ASAP stars, it’s their way of bringing a taste of home to overseas Filipinos.
