LAS VEGAS — There are only 20 remaining Democratic candidates left who are vying for the party’s nomination for president.
Before half of them face off for the third Democratic presidential debate, some contenders took a trip to Nevada to get support from the Filipino American community.
Senators Kamala Harris of California and Cory Booker of New Jersey have taken trips to the silver state recently to meet with the Asian American Pacific Islander community, and particularly express their admiration for Filipino Americans.
In the recent Real Clear politics national polling average, among the top 10 Democratic presidential contenders, Harris is in 4th while booker is in 7th.
The top spot in the polls is still being held by former vice president, Joe Biden.
Harris and Booker will join the other candidates for the 3rd Democratic presidential debate on Sept. 12.
