LAS VEGAS, NV — Many of our kababayans in the entertainment capital of the world are frightened over the Manchester terror attack, but some says that fear is not the answer to this coward move of ISIS.
In Sin City, it’s the norm to see large crowds at concerts, shows, sports fights, TV and music awards every day.
That’s why the recent terror attack in Manchester, England — that killed 22 concertgoers and left dozens injured — left many tourists and kababayans working on the Las Vegas Strip worried.
A video released by the ISIS terrorist group contains shots of famous american landmarks, including the Las Vegas Strip.
“We are a big city so we are kind of a big target, but I’m not sure,” said Maya Suwanakrit. “The world is crazy now.”
“Nakakatakot, cause you don’t know what can happen,” said Marivic Petrovsky. “It can happen anytime. Nobody expected to happen, 9/11… nobody expected that to happen, but it happened. Sometime what you least expect to happen will happen, and thats what scary here living in Vegas and living so close to the Strip.”
But many of the Vegas tourists say that what happened in Manchester, England can happen anywhere, and what they call terrorists’ coward plan should not fill us with fear.
