Jordan Clarkson’s family put out a tweet over the weekend, calling on fans to vote for the Cleveland Cavaliers guard — who leads the team in scoring, averaging close to 17 points per game.
Votes can be cast on NBA.com.
Meanwhile, the only other Fil-Am in the league, coach Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat, just made history over the weekend, as he just notched his 500th career win.
“Coach Spo” is only the 32nd coach in NBA history to achieve the feat, but only the 7th coach to win 500 games, with a winning percentage of 60. He joins an elite short list with Phil Jackson, Greg Popovich, KC Jones, Red Aurbach, Jerry Sloan, and his mentor Pat Riley.
NBA pundits are already saying that with his back to back championships and elite coaching record, Spoelstra should be a shoo-in for the hall of fame.
